Short Courses, Classes and Refreshers

Short courses are a great way to get started in make-up artistry; however, our school wishes to emphasise to potential participants (despite what other schools advertise) that even if these courses are as intensive and thorough as they can possibly be (in a limited time frame), they should never be viewed as an alternative to enrolling in more formal make-up study over longer periods. Make-up is a practical art and there are no short-cuts. Artistic talent is simply not enough, especially when competing in today’s make-up industry. Techniques cannot be mastered, without sustained practice and continual guidance.

• A great starting point for anyone contemplating a professional career in make-up (part time or full time), especially for those who might like to get a feel for our approach at our training school.
• Perfect as refresher courses or classes, particularly for bridal make-up artists and those in similar employment, who feel they need an intensive brushing-up of make-up application techniques.

While some Online Diploma Programme Students enjoy attending a few face-to face classes (and arrange to be in the Western Cape for a few days to a week), it must be noted that many online students successfully complete their practical studies without feeling any need to attend classes due to our advanced online notes, presentations, video material and personalised feedback.

Our training venue is equipped with state-of-the-art make-up workstations comprising counter, mirror and lighting, as well as a large-screen television monitor for presentations.
